    Art Fair on Main Street    August 11 - 12, 2012    Zehnder Park, Frankenmuth MI



    FAFAC is currently seeking Fine Art Vendors for Art Fair on Main Street

     

    The FAFAC annual Art Fair on Main Street will be taking place on August 11 - 12, 2012 at Zehnder's Park. 

    Policies/Eligibility 

    Summer Art Fair is open to all artists and all mediums
    Presented art must be the original work of the artists and not the work of mass produced studios, commercial kits or prefabricated pieces.  The council reserves the right to refuse exhibition of work not consistent with images that have been juried.

    Participation Rules 

    Artist must be present for duration of fair.
    Each artist is responsible for collection and payment of 6% Michigan Sales Tax.

    Booth Information

    Location of Art Fair will be at Zehnders Park on Main Street.       
    Artist must provide all display equipment and weather protection.
    Location of your booth will accompany registration packet in July.
    Booth sizes will be 14 x 14 to allow ample room for artist.

    Prizes for placement

            1.      3rd place trophy

            2.      2nd place trophy

            3.      1st place trophy with complimentary booth fee for 2013 art fair.

    In our attempt to make this a unique experience for both the artists and the consumer, we are encouraging the artists that are capable of demonstrating their art to do so.  We would like this to be an interactive and informative event to help increase the awareness of the amount of work that each artisan devotes to each piece, and in doing so helping to increase sales of their wares.

    Entry Procedures

    Complete all parts of the application form located on the "Application Form"
    drop-down tab under "Art Fair".
    Please include descriptions of your art.
    Submit a total of 3 images of your work, photographs will be accepted as well as CD or DVD.
    ·         Include a reference sheet with images and labels from the disc
    ·         Next to each image, include artist name and medium
    ·         Label the CD with the artist’s name
    The application and images can be mailed to Mary Anne Schrems at 10520 Townline Road Frankenmuth, MI  48734 or e-mailed to fafac2007@yahoo.com.

     
    Promotion of event has been listed in The Tourist Town Series Guide Book and also on the www.netstreetfair.com website, the Michigan Art & Craft Show Director, netpromotions.com website, Great Lakes Bay Magazine, festivalnet.com website, and on the Frankenmuth Chamber Website.  As the event date approaches we will be doing more local advertising.
